I'm Jerywin Bayawan, a Full-Stack Software Developer based in Kidapawan City, Philippines. I build production-ready web and mobile applications with a strong focus on security, scalability, maintainability, performance, and practical business use cases.
My work covers the complete software development lifecycle—from planning database architecture and designing APIs to building responsive user interfaces, implementing authentication and authorization, deploying applications, and maintaining production infrastructure.
I specialize in developing business applications and platforms such as payment and collection management systems, ERP platforms, HR management systems, point-of-sale systems, ordering platforms, rental management systems, dashboards, reporting tools, and API-driven applications.
I also work with offline-first applications, real-time synchronization, background processing, caching, role-based access control, multi-tenant architecture, payment integrations, and scalable database designs.
On the backend, I primarily work with Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, Sequelize ORM, Redis, BullMQ, REST APIs, Socket.IO, and WebSockets. I focus on clean service architecture, database optimization, secure authentication, authorization, validation, background workers, caching, and systems designed to scale as data and traffic increase.
I also explore architectures that are shard-ready, allowing applications to evolve toward larger distributed database environments without requiring major changes to the business logic later.
For frontend development, I work primarily with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, Shadcn UI, Vite, and modern component-based architecture. I build responsive interfaces for desktop and mobile while keeping usability, accessibility, performance, and maintainability in mind.
I build mobile-capable applications using technologies such as Capacitor and Progressive Web Apps. For systems that need to operate without a constant internet connection, I design offline-first workflows using local databases and synchronization mechanisms that safely reconcile local and server-side data once connectivity becomes available.
Security is an important part of how I design applications. I apply server-side validation, secure authentication, role and permission checks, tenant isolation, parameterized database operations, secure session handling, rate limiting, security headers, and protection against common vulnerabilities such as XSS, CSRF, injection attacks, brute-force attempts, and insecure direct object references.
For deployment and infrastructure, I work with Docker, Linux servers, PostgreSQL, Redis, Caddy, Cloudflare, background workers, environment-based configuration, and production monitoring practices.
I prefer building systems that solve real operational problems rather than focusing only on visual presentation. A good application should remain understandable, secure, maintainable, and responsive even as its number of users, transactions, modules, and records increases.
My approach is to avoid unnecessary complexity while still making architectural decisions that leave room for future growth.
I continuously improve my projects by experimenting with better database strategies, scalable backend architecture, AI-assisted features, real-time systems, offline synchronization, performance optimization, and modern user experience patterns.
